Emily Duncan Wilson is a sound designer, composer and woodwind musician, who combines her love of music with her passions for theatre and storytelling, combining technical and team leadership skills with creative content creation and musically motivated design.
Originally from New Hampshire, she holds an MFA in Sound Design from the Yale School of Drama and is a graduate of Smith College in Northampton, MA with a B.A in multiple woodwind performance.
She currently works at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Senior Instructor of Residence Life, and a theatre design advisor. She taught virtually as an Adjunct Professor of Sound Design at Florida Atlantic University in the fall semester of the 2020-21 academic year.
She loves spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking, traveling, sitting in coffee shops, wearing scarves, doing calligraphy, drinking seltzer, browsing used bookstores and record stores, and thinking about sound.
